Local Firm makes Wishes Come True
Local firm Windseal Double Glazing hosted a "Valentines Knees Up" recently to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Employees of the firm, who perform together in a band in their spare time, decided to put on a fundraising event to help grant magical wishes for children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses.
Held at the Saunders Hall Working Mens Club in Bedworth on 16th February 2008, tickets were sold to family and friends, and showband Coast To Coast were the highlight of the evening performing 70's and 80's classic party songs, with an array of dazzling costume changes.
Windseal Double Glazing's Managing Director, Kevin Moore said "Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved the evening was a great success. As well as raising a substantial amount of money for a very worthy charity, a fun evening was had by all. It was such good fun we are considering making it an annual event!"
A total of £811.41 was presented to Rebecca Edney of
Make-A-Wish Foundation , who said "All of the money raised
at this event will go directly to granting the wishes of sick
children. Many thanks to everyone who contributed."
